Modelling agencies champion fake tan over sun beds

2 Min Read Friday 2nd March 2012

Fake tan is completely harmless and safe to use.

Sunless tanning is the way forward for bronzed skin that shines.

A mix of leading modelling agencies agreed to extend a ‘No Sunbed’ policy to all staff in a bid to raise awareness of the dangers of using sunbeds this month.

The welcome move comes as part of Cancer Research UK’s new campaign called R UV UGLY? Big names like Storm Model Management and Elite have banned their models from using sunbeds and highlighted that arranging a spray tan is a far safer alternative.

Sienna X spray tan solutions are non-toxic and safe to use on all skin types, making them the perfect choice if you are looking for an all over glow that is radiant and comes out of a bottle. The finished result looks just as good as a natural tan and doesn’t come with any nasty side effects or skin damage.

The active ingredient in fake tan, Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), has been used in cosmetic preparations for almost 30 years and has been listed with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for just under 4 decades. Lasting between 5 to 7 days, a sunless tan is ideal if you want to look good for an upcoming event because it will add a beautiful sheen to your skin and boost your body confidence. The other superb advantage of fake tan is that your whole body will be covered in a gorgeous glow from head to toe – there’ll be no strap marks or lighter areas that often come about with a natural sun tan.

What’s the upshot? Tan safely using fake tan products and you’ll soon realise the benefits!
