4 ways to cope with the drama of growing out your brows
Growing out your eyebrows takes commitment plus an unwavering ability to abstain from tweezing, threading, plucking and waxing. It’s definitely not plain sailing when your eyebrows look as ragged as the British coastline for months. How are you supposed to get through it? Here are our tips:
Work with what you’ve got
Maximise your existing brow line by tinting them regularly. A darker tint will ‘pick up’ the finer hairs growing at the tail end of your brows and lend some depth and drama to your arch. Your brows will instantly look thicker, creating the illusion that you’ve got denser eyebrows until they grow in for real. Use a brow pencil to fill in any gaps and a matt concealer to hide strays.
Your diet plays a big part in the health of your skin and hair. Eat a mix of fruit and vegetables high in Vitamin E to promote hair growth, like leafy greens, and amp up your intake of healthy fats like avocado, nuts and seeds.¬†Feed your brows directly with this fixing serum that’s packed full of regrowth ingredients to encourage the follicles to get moving faster.
Sunnies and floppy sun hats are brilliant for hiding your brows at this time of year and you’ll look fashionable while you safegaurd your skin from the harmful effects of UV rays. Why not work with the season and style whilst you are growing out your eyebrows!
Take care to trim
If some of your hairs begin to look unruly while others are still growing in, trim them to achieve a groomed finish. Trimming your brows won’t affect their growth and will give you some control over their overall shape even if they don’t look quite perfect yet.
Stick with it! You’ll get there in the end!
