How to fake tan the face.

Use sunless tan to add a gorgeous glow to your visage.

Tanning the face is often an area of concern for many novice fake tan users. Add too much product and you can end up sporting a patchy finish that looks far darker than you had envisaged. Apply too little product and your face won’t match the gorgeous glow you’ve created on the rest of your body. Follow our guide for some handy hints and tips on tanning the face to perfection:

1. Gently exfoliate your face with Polishing Body Scrub 24 hours before your treatment to remove any impurities lying on the surface of the skin. On the day of your treatment cleanse your entire face to eliminate any residual make-up and facial products. Dry your face thoroughly after cleansing to remove the excess water that has gathered in your pores. Too much moisture can often reduce the effectiveness of self-tanner so be sure to dry the entire area properly.

2. Take a small amount of Gradual Glowing Self Tan and rub it onto your face in a circular motion. Blend outwards until you reach your neck, taking extra care to cover tricky spots, like the area around the nose. You can always add more product later if you want to go darker. Your tan will begin to develop between 6-8 hours, after which you can wash your face with warm water.

3. Moisturise your face with Radiance Body Balm to hydrate your skin and prolong the life of your tan. Continue to moisturise every day to boost your colour and nourish your skin.
