Dos

• Shave and exfoliate at least a day before your treatment.
• Wear a headband to protect your hair and ensure your face is tanned up to the hairline.
• Paint your nails or apply a small amount of vaseline onto your finger nails and toe nails to protect them from discolouration.
• Use latex gloves to prevent the palms of your hands from staining.
• Opt for a tanning mitt to achieve an even finish.
• Mix some moisturiser into your sunless tanner to tan your face.
• Moisturise your entire body after washing off the product in the shower to extend the life of your tan

Dont’s

• Don’t rush. Take it easy and ensure you cover every area including tricky bits like the ankles and elbows.
• Don’t wear tight clothing following your treatment because this will create marks on your skin.
• Don’t use deodorants and perfumes on the day you plan on fake tanning because these products make it harder for self tan to stick to the skin.
• Don’t moisturise immediately before your fake tan. However, you should moisturise after the guide colour has been washed off in the shower.
