Professional Tips & Advice

Should I get a used spray tan machine for my salon?

2 Min Read Thursday 10th October 2019

Buying a secondhand spray tan machine saves you money in the short term and it can work out well if you ask the right questions. For example do the parts function properly? Have you seen it in action? Does the set come complete with accessories? How much will delivery cost? How old is it?

However, as with any used purchase, you can’t guarantee that it will be in a flawless condition and work as intended until you pay for it and start using it. Moreover, you won’t have any protection if things do go wrong, especially if you’ve bought in a ‘sold as seen’ arrangement.

What’s our advice? The best option is to invest in a brand new spray tanning machine that comes with all the right parts, performs perfectly and features new technology. Plus, with a new machine you benefit from invaluable extras, such as warranties, expert advice from the Sienna X team, accredited training and access to replacement parts like spray guns.

The peace of mind that comes from purchasing a new tanning machine is vital when running a busy salon. You need to be able to rely on the repeat performance of your kit and know that if something goes wrong you can get an immediate replacement or quick fix.

Our True Spray machine, used by Sienna X tutors during our spray tan training course, comes with a 2 year warranty.¬†And Aura machines, like this XENA one for professional salons, come with a one year warranty (we also stock the Aura Allure lightweight machine that’s designed to be used at home or as a back up). If you’re looking for a cost-effective option for a small new business then it doesn’t come any better than a Starter Spray Tan machine priced at ¬£99 + VAT.
