The Pure Beauty Awards 2014

It will come as no surprise that the Sienna X team love any excuse for a spray tan and new LBD – and last week saw the perfect occasion for it, as it was time for the Pure Beauty Awards 2014.

Now in its 12^th year, the Pure Beauty Awards are held to celebrate the most innovative and exciting beauty releases of the year. The awards are voted for by the readers of Pure Beauty, all of whom are industry professionals, making a nomination a huge honour for any brand. This year, Sienna X were lucky enough to be nominated in two categories, and so we practically skipped to The Savoy in excitement (yes, this is a slight exaggeration – we actually drove down from the Midlands and sat in London traffic for what felt like a week. But the excitement was still there, we assure you).

After being welcomed with a champagne reception, we took our seats in the stunning Lancaster Ballroom for the awards ceremony. The room was bathed in pink lighting for the occasion, which of course made the Sienna X team feel right at home. Our table was also fantastically placed, with TOWIE’s Samantha Faiers to our right and lots of wine to our left. What could be better?!

In between our beautiful three courses – which included a Halloween-themed cheesecake! – the very handsome Gethin Jones dished out the all-important awards. With categories ranging from Skin, Hair and Fragrance to Male Grooming and Retail Innovation, there was chance for a whole host of brands to be honoured for their hard work over the past year. From huge names such as Lee Stafford to smaller, independent businesses, the range of winners is a true testament to how great the Pure Beauty Awards are.

And what of that super-important category: tanning? Well, we are delighted to announce that WE WON!

Our much-loved Q10 Bronzing Mousse was awarded the title of Best New Artificial Tanning Product. With over 25,000 votes cast, this year’s awards were the biggest yet and so we were absolutely thrilled with this result.

The team at Sienna X would like to say a huge thank you to Pure Beauty for hosting such a wonderful evening; to all of the brands who donated to the seriously amazing goodie-bags; and above all, to the readers of Pure Beauty who voted us as the winners. We hope to see you all again next year!
