Make the most of promotions
Making the most of promotions will result in cheaper cost price. Cheaper cost price increases revenue! Make use of Bulk Buys. Bulk Buys will help stock up your supplies whilst benefiting from cheaper prices. Purchase any 3 or more Hot Wax (800g) and receive 10% discount or purchase any 6 or more Hot Wax (800g) and receieve 20% discount.
Reduce Product Waste
Estimate how much product you are going to use per treatment. This will become easier with regular clients as you can trial the amount of wax product needed on their initial appointment. With Hot Wax you can always pour more beads in to the wax heater to melt so don’t go overboard. Remember not to double dip your spatula, this means that you can reuse the wax product if you have remaining at the end of you treatment.
Use your scraper to remove any excess so you are not applying too much onto the client. This also helps maintain cleanliness of your machine as helps to reduce the wax residue going into your inner buckets, increase your wax heaters longevity.
Tailor your timings
Sticking to traditional 9-5 opening hours can shut out lots of potential clients who can’t book appointments during that specific window. Consider a late-night opening, opt to stay open on Sundays and close for your quietest weekday instead, or remain flexible and move your schedule with the seasons (capitalise on the demand for bikini waxes over the summer and make the most of the longer days). Got clients who can’t get to you? Reach out to them via mobile waxing.
Create premium treatments
Clients are willing to invest more in luxury treatments so go the extra mile and combine waxing with smaller concurrent treatments like massage or aromatherapy. For example, if your client has had an eyebrow wax and is waiting for tint to develop on their brows, try offering a gentle shoulder massage or hand massage for a couple of minutes while their colour takes. Our new Massage Candle is great for this. You won’t waste any extra time and you’ll transform a run-of-the-mill eyebrow shape into a pampering treatment without generating any added outlay on equipment or products. It’ll also mark you out as different to your competitors and attract clients who want to feel relaxed, valued and pampered.
