Beauticians can reopen their businesses for ALL services from Saturday 15th August 2020 in England. This also includes facial treatments.
We’re aware this has been a long-awaited decision and that you may be eager to get back to your business, however…
Your beauty business will need to conform to the UK Government close contact services current regulations.
Regarding spray-applied tan – Spray Tanning :
The Guild of Beauty Technicians is confirming that because this is a non-contact treatment then the application via a spray gun would be deemed reasonable if the rest of the guidelines are met. In particular, whilst actually spray tanning the client then the distance of 2 meters is likely to be compromised to around 1.5m, you must always remain at least 1 meter away and not exceed a 15 minutes treatment time at less than 2 meters – this latter point should be fine as you will get the client to apply barrier cream to appropriate body areas and the Sienna X trained treatment routine takes around 8 minutes.
We wish you a successful reopening and hope further safe easing starts to introduce more treatments – if you need any help at all, one of our experts is here to support you, by phone, live chat or email…
Nicky and the Sienna X team
The Guild of beauty professionals, The body whom our training courses are accredited by, have said that it is ok to carry out Spray tan training as long as all relevant government safety guidance is followed.
With regards to our Wax, Brow and Skincare courses we will have to wait until at least August 15th and are also seeking guidance at this stage.
Regarding the Spray tan Courses, we are mindful of Safety, but do realise there are many of you that are requiring the training ASAP in order to carry out your treatments
In line with the Government’s sentiments to get us all back working we have taken the decision to cautiously reopen our Head office Worcester venue for our main level 1 Spray Tanning course from the 27th of July.
Dates are now available: please click here to view or book
If we feel the demand is there and the safety guidelines are showing full adherence, then we are hopeful in opening up 1 or 2 other venues across the country – Manchester and London Areas, however, this would possibly be not until September onwards and dependent on the latest Government and local Government advice.
Clear guidelines for your attendance – to include your own lunch and refreshments, wearing of face mask and social distancing, will be sent to you – onsite we have hand sanitisers and our Trainers are also trained with the Barbicide COVID-19 Certification as well as a working knowledge of the Governments latest close contact services guidelines document – the beauticians COVID-19 safety guidelines.
As an Accredited Training Academy, we offer many online training modules.
We are pleased to say we have now opened our Level 1 ONLINE modules FREE!
A great opportunity to refresh or look into a new treatment. While the online modules won’t give you the accreditation to perform a treatment, they will give you a great insight and provide you with useful information and facts.
Not only that… keep an eye out for our social media videos.
