At Sienna X, we are proud to use the highest natural and vegan quality ingredients, all locally sourced where possible to provide products that really do work. In addition to sourcing local products all of our products are tried, tested and manufactured in the UK, ensuring we keep our carbon footprint low and reassuring our customers of our focus on sustainability.
Striving for a greener future, we’re constantly innovating to expand our recyclable packaging options for global sustainability.
Harnessing the power of nature, we aim to use a majority of natural ingredients to ensure the purity and efficacy of our products.
We’re on a mission to one day achieve 100% recyclability and natural ingredient lists without compromising on the exceptional Sienna X quality you trust.
We are proud to collaborate with organisations like Prevented Ocean Plastic to address issues such as ocean plastic pollution. By utilising Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) materials wherever feasible, we contribute to the reduction of waste and support the recycling industry. PCR materials come from products that have already been used and recycled, giving them a second life and reducing the need for virgin plastic.
While not all our solutions can use PCR due to the properties of DHA, which can cause deformation in the bottles, we strive to incorporate PCR materials in our packaging whenever possible. Our efforts in this area underscore our commitment to reducing plastic waste and supporting a circular economy.
Our boxes are crafted from materials derived from FSC-certified sources, ensuring the responsible use of forest resources. This certification guarantees that the products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits.
For our wax boxes specifically, we focus on water and energy efficiency. Our production process saves up to 80% water and 85% energy, reflecting our commitment to conservation. Furthermore, our manufacturing practices are environmentally approved, adhering to ISO14001 standards. This continuous effort aims to lower our carbon footprint and reduce emissions, reinforcing our dedication to sustainable practices.
In our ongoing quest to reduce waste, we’ve transitioned from disposable boxes to reusable 100% cotton bags for our disposables. These cotton bags are versatile and durable, capable of being used repeatedly for a wide range of purposes. This shift not only decreases the volume of waste sent to landfills but also helps in reducing the potential impacts on deforestation, habitat loss, and carbon emissions. We aim to encourage more sustainable consumer behaviours through these initiatives.
At Sienna X HQ, we are committed to sustainability and have made significant eco-friendly advancements in our building, which houses both our offices and warehouse.
Our modern facility meets top EPC level A standards. We have installed 45 solar panels across five units, capable of producing a maximum output of 12kW. On sunny days, these panels generate up to 9kW, and even on cloudy days, they produce around 3kW. Our daily energy requirements for running IT infrastructure (PCs, monitors, networking equipment, printers, etc.) and essential appliances like the fridge and freezer are approximately 2kW. Additional sporadic usage of air conditioning, boiler taps, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and cardboard shredding averages another 1kW. This means we often produce more energy than we consume during the day, allowing us to explore battery storage solutions to harness this surplus. This solar energy is integral to our goal of achieving 100% solar reliance by 2030.
Our offices benefit greatly from the energy produced by our solar panels. We use Thin Client PCs and cloud-based servers to minimise energy consumption. Our commitment to a paperless workplace further reduces our environmental footprint. Additionally, we offer two car charging points for our employees, free of charge, with much of the energy supplied directly by our solar panels.
In our warehouse, the solar panels power our electric forklift, supporting sustainable operations. We use an internal industrial shredder to recycle cardboard, creating eco-friendly packaging and reducing waste.
Our refusal to test on animals stems from ethical considerations and the availability of advanced, humane testing methods. These alternatives ensure safety and efficacy without compromising animal welfare.
Our products are passionately vegan, crafted with the utmost respect for nature and your well-being. There is one exception…
Our ASOS Award-Winning Miracle Mask uniquely includes Manuka Honey, chosen for its unparalleled benefits. Sustainably sourced to support bee populations, it’s an exception that aligns with our ethical commitment.
Our products are consciously crafted without parabens, avoiding these preservatives that have been linked to health concerns and maintaining your body’s natural harmony.
We take a stand for nature’s integrity by shunning genetically modified ingredients, championing the health of ecosystems and ensuring the purity of your beauty routine.
