How to wax the top of the bikini area

Hollywood and Brazilian waxes are definitely popular waxing treatments for women but the humble basic bikini wax is still a firm favourite for many.This old-skool treatment removes hair at the top of the thighs and all the way up to the knicker line without going much further beyond. Your client may want you to remove some of the hair above their knicker line that rests on the very top of their pelvis too.To wax the area at the top the bikini line, slightly up from the pubic area, you'll need to apply wax in two different strokes because here hair tends to grow towards the belly buttonApply wax in a horizontal line from the left towards the centre of the body (use the navel as a guide), smooth over your wax strip and remove in the opposite direction while holding the skin taut with your free hand. Ask your client to hold the skin taut too for extra support. Then repeat the process by applying wax from the right towards the centre of the body.If your client would like you to go a bit further down you can repeat the process until they're happy with the final shape. It's not unusual for some women to have darker or coarser hair growth around their belly button too so they may want you to go further up towards their torso to cover that area.Disposable underwear is brilliant for bikini waxes because it provides clients with some coverage while allowing you to reach the areas you need to wax. Plus, you don't need to worry about accidentally getting wax on single-use underwear because you can pop it in the bin straight after the treatment.
