Boost your profits with bridal tan fittings

What are tan fittings?

You've probably heard the phrase,
but it's quite possible that you're still not clear on what it actually
means. Put it this way, you wouldn't skip your dress fittings or your make-up
trial, so why would you risk having your client spend the day wearing a tan
that they weren't 100% happy with?

Tan fittings usually take place over three appointments, however more can be arranged if required.

The first appointment

This is really for you to get to know your client and
the details of the wedding. You'll want to ask questions such as:

  • What time
    of day is the wedding?
  • What style
of dress will she be wearing?
  • What
    colour is the dress?
  • Which
areas would she like to accentuate?

All of these things will help you to understand what your bride is looking for and create a bespoke look for her big day. To identify the day on which your client preferred her tan (usually day 2 or 3), get her to take a daily selfie for 4 days after the tan and bring these along to the second appointment.

The second appointment

This consultation will focus on the results from the
initial tan.

  • Was the
    bride happy with the colour?
  • Which day
    did she prefer the results?

This gives you the option to try a different shade if required. Make a note of all the details on her consultation card so that in the final appointment, you know exactly what you're doing. Advise your bride to book her make-up trial in for her ‘preferred tan day' after the second treatment. This is so the make-up artist can colour match ready for the wedding.

The final appointment

This will take place shortly before the big day, so it's imperative that it is a relaxing and enjoyable treatment for the bride, the last thing she needs to be worrying about is her tan.
