How to contour your cheekbones with self tanner

2 Min Read Tuesday 19th March 2019

Slash your make up routine in half by using fake tan to contour your cheekbones. It’s dead easy, takes about five minutes and the results last for up to 7 days. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Prep your face by removing all traces of make up. A quick cleanse will get rid of any residue left your skin, leaving behind a smooth surface for your tanner to evenly cling on to.
  2. Pump a small amount of One Hour Self Tan Tinted Lotion onto a cotton pad or a tanning mitt and grab a stiff make up brush. Dip the tip of the brush into the tanner, suck in your cheeks and apply a line of product along the hollows of your cheekbones (this video will show you how). Gently buff the tanner in and blend it along the edges to create a soft line that gently fades up towards the cheeks. You can use your fingers to encourage an even blend but make sure you wash your hands immediately afterwards to prevent them staining.
  3. Wait an hour before washing your face and patting your skin dry (your glow will gently develop over the course of the day) Follow up with a rich moisturiser to lock in your colour and encourage your new contour to last as long as a week, both day and night!

You can also use fake tan to contour your nose, chin and forehead in exactly the same way using a make up brush and your fingers. Check out this video for more ideas on how to define, shape, contour, sculpt and illuminate your face with Sienna X fake tans.
