Spray tanning help - Tips and tricks to get the perfect spray tan
Stained Fingers and Hands
-
Obviously refrain from spraying on or near palms etc.
-
Use a buffing mitt as a mask over palm, when spraying wrist area.
-
At the end of the tanning session use a Sienna X tan removal wipe and show your client that their hands are free from tan.
-
Warn client that any touching of their body until after showering will result in staining which takes days to wear off
-
If a tan has been done earlier in the day, advise client to shower before bedtime.
-
If the tan has been done later and needs to be left on overnight, recommend wearing loose socks on hands in bed, to ensure no accidental touching of body during sleep.
-
Some areas of the body i.e. knees, knuckles, heels, elbows etc can appear darker, and this is due to dry skin and absorption of too much tan.
-
Ensure these areas are applied with Sienna X Barrier Cream before tanning.
-
When spraying stand back and do a lighter spray over these dry areas (approx 12 inches / 30cm away from body).
-
Customer has used deodorant.
-
Ask customers beforehand if they have used deodorant and remove with Sienna X Exfoliating Spritz, which will clean and neutralise the skin.
