Q. How long have you been working for Sienna X ?

A. 4 years

Q. Did you come from a beauty background? What did you do before you joined Sienna X ?

A. I came from a motor trade background! I worked for a main dealer for 8 years until I had my little girl 7 years ago.

Q. What prompted you to take up Spray Tanning?

A. I decided to retrain to do something that fitted around having a young child, so I bought myself a spray tan kit and built up a mobile tanning business and was then approached by Sienna X to come on board and the rest is history !!!!!

Q. Can you briefly describe your typical working day?

A. Busy, Busy, Busy – my main priority is visiting prospective clients to demonstrate our range of products and recommend the right equipment for the type of tanning that they want to do. Whilst in those areas I also take the opportunity to pop in to see my existing clients and check how they’re getting on. In addition to that, I cold call around 15 prospective salons a day to introduce Sienna X and spray tanning to them or to point out the benefits of converting from their existing brand if they’re already spray tanning. On Mondays I run the Brentwood and Gatwick training venues. Late afternoons/early evenings I catch up on my e-mails/telephone enquiries.

Q. What do you love most about your job?

A. The fact that I’m finally working within an industry I’m passionate about and have built up a fantastic client base and a great reputation within the tanning world.

Q. I understand you’re the girl responsible for the spray tans on Strictly Come Dancing. Do you feel star struck schmoozing with the celebs or take it all in your stride?

A. This is my second season spray tanning for the show – I have to admit I was awestruck to start with, but I’ve built up a really good rapport with the production team now and I just feel like one of the crew when I turn up to do my bit. It’s hard work, but I have a great time and it’s fantastic to be involved with the show – I really hope we’re signed up for a third series.

Q. Tanning all the dancers and celebrities, you must get through an awful lot of solution?

A. Yes – the show kicks off with 15 couples so that’s 30 bodies to tan in the first week! It gradually whittles down as couples are voted off, but I still get through about 30 litres of solution over the 15 weeks.

Q. You’re a mum – does your job allow you the flexibility to fit work around your family commitments?

A. Working as a regional sales consultant for Sienna X is a great choice of career when it comes to juggling work/family life. Thursdays are always busiest as everyone wants to wake up tanned on Friday ready for the weekend. My job allows me the flexibility of working 30 hours per week which I can fit in around my daughter’s swimming/horse riding lessons and any other after school/family commitments.

Q. How do you see your role at Sienna X developing – where would you like to be 5 years from now?

A. I would really like to become more involved in developing new products for Sienna X
